About Coaching

Given the fact that the coaching is bespoke and tailored to you specifically it’d be pretty difficult to give you a full run-down of how it all works in just one page.

As your coach I won’t force you to do things “my way”, that doesn’t work. I’ll meet you where you’re at, and guide you through the journey to achieving your goals. Removing the obstacles and challenges along the way to keep everything running as smoothly as possible.

Having said that, there are a few areas that we’ll pay particularly close attention to. They are:

Food

I love some good grub, who doesn’t?! I’ve been there and don’t the whole chicken, broccoli and brown rice thing… it will come as no surprise to you that it’s really no fun! So you can rest assured that’s not something I’ll be getting you to do. Our approach will depend completely on you, your needs and most importantly your lifestyle. So whether we land on an initial meal plan, flexible food goals, or somewhere in the middle, it’ll be based around foods you already eat and enjoy on a daily basis. We’ll just tweak it to work for you and your goals.

Training

Exercise. Daily activity. However you describe it. For me, the most important thing is that I meet you where you’re at. I’ll get a handle on your starting point. So whether you’re new to exercise or you have a little bit of experience… we’ll work from where you are. My aim is to give you the right balance of ‘what you like’ and then ‘what you need’. Just like in every aspect of my coaching, it’s centred on you. I won’t be making you spend hours in the gym, just like I won’t be forcing loads of boring cardio your way. We’ll work together to tailor-make a programme that guarantees you heaps of progress, in a way you enjoy.

Mindset

Possibly the most important aspect of the process. It’s why I invest in myself and have my own coaches, because with a solid mindset everything else falls in to place… with a little application, obviously.

We’re all different so what you “get” with my coaching is going to vary, but here’s what you need to know:

As this process progresses you’ll grow in confidence both physically and mentally. By the end of the process you’ll have the confidence to make decisions and take actions that align with your own values.

Support

This is pretty much THE reason for me being here. Support through any type of process like this is so important. How often do we think we can “do this on our own”? Only to realise iff that was actually the case, we’d have done “it”.

Not enough can be said for “Accountability”. Having someone in your corner when things are going well is great , but when I’m that person you’ll get a kick in the ass if it’s needed. Weekly in-depth progress reports, periodic reviews via Zoom, daily contact opportunities, accountability checks and a few other bits coming to keep you on the progression path way. What’s more is that if there’s a level of support I DON’T currently offer that you think you’ll need it, all you have to do is say. The service is for you you and all the things that you need to succeed.

Education

This ones important. Ever made really good progress in something, only to end up right back at the start once you got to the end. I have… more than once. I can tell you that the reason it happened to me was education, or lack of. Following instructions is a simple task, but as a coach I want you to learn how you do something and why you do it. This is why I encourage questions and always try to be as thorough as possible with my explanations. This way by the end of the process I’m hopeful that you’ll continue to apply everything you’ve learned during our time working together.
